After the success of shows like India’s Digital Superstar, SOS (Survivors of Suicide), The Spice Traveller, Hitched etc. One Digital Entertainment recently announced the launch of its next big digital property, India’s first ever digital food reality show called “India’s Digital Chef” with none other than Sanjeev Kapoor. With top acclaimed chefs like Sanjeev Kapoor, Saransh Goila and Amrita Raichand judging it, the core aim of the show is to hunt for the best of the home chefs from all over India who can, not just really cook great food but bring health and happiness via food and entertainment.
Following the call to entries a fortnight back, the response that has come across is astounding. Enthusiasts from all over the country reached out to the show makers on the show’s Website www.indiasdigitalchef.com with videos of diverse recipes which were both delicious and healthy in nature. 16 shortlisted contestants have now gone on to compete for the title of India’s Digital Chef powered by India Gate Brown Rice Weight Watchers Special and Livpure as Associate Sponsor. The first episode has gone live on Friday, 31st August at 5pm IST. This 15 episodic series will follow a biweekly format and will go online every Tuesday and Friday promising interesting recipes and a lot of entertainment directly from the show’s Faceboook, YouTube, Twitter handles and Sanjeev Kapoor’s YouTube channel www.youtube.com/sanjeevkapoorkhazana
With utmost excitement, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor commented, “Through India’s Digital Chef, we aim to hunt for that one chef who not only has the culinary skills and talent but also knows how to execute cooking digitally by constantly churning out interesting and exciting content around food for their digital audiences. We have begun shooting and the way the show is unfolding is lovely. We have had contestants who have taken to the digital platform from all over India to send in their entries. The final contestants that we have shortlisted come forth with a new found enthusiasm. We have doctors who love cooking, housewives over 60 years of age, two siblings competing against each other, advertising professionals, flight attendants and many others; the diversity is startling and their energy seems catching. Such an unusual set of contestants is refreshing and I’m also happy how people are now realizing the importance of healthy food. I am sure the audience is going to have gala time tuning in to this twice a week with a bonus of finger licking healthy recipes at hand!”
Gurpreet Singh, COO and Co-Founder of One Digital Entertainment added, “The judges have been quite excited and compelling with the quality of contestants, so we are all the more keyed up to bring forth a fun show with health at its focus. While Chef Sanjeev brings his immense experience and technique, Amrita is our health police on the show and Saransh of course adds the ultimate flavour with his fun and entertaining self.”
“We are fairly positive that the show is going to make a place in the hearts of the viewers. Apart from India Gate sponsoring a world class cooking range for the winner’s dream kitchen and Livpure awarding a water purifier, winner will also get access to free mentoring, marketing & production support to build their own digital properties which will be exclusively managed by One Digital Entertainment. The contestants seem to be quite artistic home chefs, be rest assured your next top Chef of the country isn’t very far away!”, he added.
