WTF is a journey of how modern families are breaking stereotypes, overcoming generation gaps, and growing to love one another, in spite of often having starkly different world views. Directed by two-time National Award winner, Ruchir Arun, the show has been written by Anand Bhardwaj and Ayesha Nair.
The series stars popular digital actor Veer Rajwant Singh as the son-in-law, Nikhil. Vipin Sharma and Deepika Amin who plays the father-in-law and the mother-in-law respectively. Other key casts include Eisha Chopra and Anula Navlekar, who play Nikhil’s wife and sister-in-law respectively. The entire series is like a situational comedy where we end up feeling sorry for Nikhil.
The show’s second season flips that equation. This time, it’s the turn of Anita, to find her footing in the Solanki family, comprising the cool-headed mother Vandu, eccentric father Kiran and secretive sister Shreya. With no real conflict to resolve on the Saas Bahu disagreements front, the show turns its attention to a truly fractious relationship – that between Nikhil and Shreya. Once peas in a pod, the two have drifted apart in recent years, a tension that manifests both in awkward silences and loud showdowns.
What the Folks have this invariably funny dinner table conversation that makes you scream “OMG, this is so true!”. But what makes it even more realistic is that despite fighting almost every day, despite the innumerable differences and despite the fact that no one understands each other, they continue to love one another.
We just cannot point out one scene or our Favorite episode from this amazing seasons. All the episodes are extremely funny and entertaining.
