Sacred Games is also an Indian web television thriller which is the first Netflix original series in India and is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. The series is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel. The series revolves around the story of a Mumbai police officer Sartaj Singh, portrayed by Saif Ali Khan, who receives phone calls from a gangster Ganesh Gaitonde, portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Gaitonde tells Sartaj to save the city in 25 days, which chronicles the series.
But, it is so much more than that. It is a show that has been around for just a couple of years. This show is very aware of itself. It is evidence of what great writing can do to a show. How it can go a long way to make a difference in the entire storytelling of the show is something that we often overlook. This has given this show some gems in terms of scenes.
