Heartbreaking Plots In Netflix’s Hit ‘Money Heist’ That Left Us All In The Puddle Of Tears

The narrative of The Professor and his crew was not complicated in Money Heist 5 Part 2 or Volume 2. It essentially summarised the plot, tying up all loose ends and bringing the Netflix drama to a happy conclusion.

Money Heist 5 Part 2 brought the Netflix episode to a close with an emotional, yet satisfying, conclusion. Many people were relieved that the writers were able to tie up all the loose ends and give the characters a sense of closure. But how did the show’s second and last season, which lasted four years, come to a close?

The final five episodes, which comprised part 2 or the second volume, did not add to the plot but rather summarised it. The death of Tokyo served as a catalyst for the gang, but they quickly got to work extracting the gold from the Bank of Spain. While Colonel Tamayo’s attempts to stop The Professor failed, Alicia Sierra was able to join up with the mastermind, believing that it was the only way to prove her innocence.

Benjamin began turning the golden grains into gold bricks after transferring the gold to the stormwater tank. Just as the gang was about to say “Bella Ciao” for the last time, men dressed as cops storm the hideout and steal all of the riches. Rafael and Tatiana are the masterminds behind ‘robbing the robbers,’ according to a startling turn of events. Tatiana left Berlin distraught in a flashback sequence, and the two became a partnership.

As the episode drew to a close, we saw The Professor enter the bank holding nothing — not even gold or a backup plan. However, The Professor without a Plan B will go against the heist drama’s central idea. He has a plan, and it’s bigger than any fan theory or predicted plot this time.

The audience soon discovers that The Professor enters the Bank of Spain because he is not willing to surrender. He arrives with a brilliant plan to negotiate with Tamayo, who has apprehended all of the robbers.

Let’s take a step back. The Professor didn’t say where the final gold bricks would be taken when he instructed the bank to drill out the gold. It’s worth noting that this was done to ensure that even if one of his group members bursts out laughing in front of the cops, they would still be uninformed of the gold’s final location. Tamayo tried it with Denver, but he was adamant about not moving.

In the midst of it all, the gang distributes a video of “how to take gold from the bank” that they shot previously. The viral video informs the rest of the globe that Spain’s national reserve has been stolen, and the country’s financial markets have crashed, sending the economy into freefall.

“Either both of them win or both of them lose,” the Professor returns to action and tells Tamayo. For the sake of his red-jumpsuit men’s safety, he agrees with the Colonel that in order to restore the country’s economy, he must publicly announce that the police department has saved gold. Tamayo concurs. Trucks full of gold bricks arrive at the bank soon after. Tamayo, on the other hand, realizes they’re merely gold-plated brass. He confronts The Professor, who claims that gold is merely a psychological idea because no country buys resources with literal gold bars. He assures Tamayo that he’ll never be able to find gold and advises him to keep the brass bar fraud a secret from the government. This would also assure that he becomes a national hero by preventing the collapse of Spain’s economy.

Return to the lost gold, which everyone assumed had been stolen in real life. Rafael, Berlin’s son and Sergio’s nephew arrives with Tatiana, his new lover. They were in charge of hiding the riches beneath a house, it turns out. Sergio had assigned Alicia the task of tracking down the “robbers” who took the gold since he didn’t want anyone to know where it was. Alicia utilized her wits to figure out the truth and the location of the gold trove. That’s how The Professor managed to keep the great secret hidden from his family, even if it meant he didn’t know where the gold was. As a result, the episode’s title is “A Family Tradition”.

The Money Heist, also known as La Casa De Papel, concludes with cops faking the gang’s death inside the bank. However, as soon as the thieves’ “bodies” are placed into trucks, the entire crew gathers to celebrate the heist’s success. The entire gang then reassembles inside a police helicopter, where they are given false passports by the cops themselves. They were not only successful in robbing the Bank of Spain, but they also secured a high-ranking escort from the Spanish government.

Alicia has come to say her final goodbyes to her new buddy, with whom she formed a bond during a difficult moment. The Professor also presents her with a fake passport, implying that Alicia and her newborn daughter Victoria have received their share and are on their way to a new life in another part of the world, away from the police force’s false claims. Alicia cryptically informs The Professor that she has relocated the entire gold-filled property to Portugal. Now it’s up to the gang to figure it out.

Sergio proposes to Raquel on the side, and Denver chooses to return to Stockholm since Manila wishes the two of them well. Palermo, too, has decided to stay in Helsinki.

“It didn’t all work out the way we wanted. We’re not all here. But, well, we did something,” Sergio aka The Professor adds, in commemoration of all the gang members they lost along the way – in Berlin, Tokyo, Nairobi, Moscow, and Oslo.
