Karan V Grover who plays the ever charming rockstar in Viu and Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming digital series – Spotlight 2, has been a non-smoker all his life. When he took up the role of the flamboyant Vicky Verma, he wanted his character to appear authentic in every single take. So, Karan V Grover went on to the lengths of taking up smoking during the shoot of the musical drama.
Commenting on the preparations for the role, he shared, “I took up guitar lessons to play my part well and also took up smoking since I wanted my character to look genuine. However, I won’t deny that being a non-smoker, it was difficult and more so since I do not support smoking. As soon as the series wrapped up, I simply stopped smoking because I never let it become a habit. I hope our audiences recognize the complete team’s work and effort behind making this beautiful series happen.”
Now, we certainly can’t wait for the musical drama to be released to experience the story unfold and witness the performances delivered by the cast.
