Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur is undeniably a highly anticipated Indian web series. The streaming platform recently announced that Mirzapur Season 2 will premiere on October 23, 2020.
The outdoor filming and production for Mirzapur Season 2 was halted due to the outbreak of Covid-19. However, the team is finally ready to launch the show.
Set in Mirzapur, the hinterland of North India, season 1 of the crime drama had taken the audiences into a dark, complex world of guns, drugs and lawlessness.
The series which told the story of two brothers Guddu and Bablu as they got caught in the web of deceit, violence, crime and drugs made for a good watch.
It will see Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Amit Sial, Anjum Sharma, Sheeba Chaddha, Manu Rishi Chadha and Rajesh Tailang reprising their roles. Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli and Isha Talwar will join the cast in season 2.
However, it seems ever the audience seems to be less interested in the series now. It seems the popular series is losing its popularity. Initially, fans were eager for season 1 but now they don’t seem so. However, is it losing its popularity or is still the most popular series, this we will get to know after the series is released.
