The 32-year-old, Vikrant Massey, has come all the way from Rana, in Dil Dhadakne Do, to Shutu in A Death In The Gunj. His rise to stardom has been dynamic.

Being a middle-class guy from Mumbai, the actor had held high dreams. He forayed onto the stage with small-time dancing and theatre performances at the age of 7, being a well-trained ballet dancer. He has also choreographed Shiamak Davar show, Dhoom Machao Dhoom.

Vikrant made his debut on television with Kahaan Hoo Main in 2004. Later, he also played roles in daily soaps such as Dharam Veer, Balika Vadhu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Qubool Hai. He made his film debut in Lootera, later acted in Dil Dhadakne Do and was a supporting cast member in Half Girlfriend. He earned a Filmfare Awards nomination in the category of Best Actor – Critics, for a film directed by Konkona Sen Sharma, The Death Of Gunj. The actor has nailed his main roles in the web series Mirzapur (2018) and Criminal Justice (2019). He will soon be seen in his upcoming movie, Chhapaak in 2020, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
