Netflix’s Sacred Games and Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur both offer fresh concepts that have won them a loyal set of audience. Both the series have their roots seeped in mafia and crime but they are wildly different in approach. The cast of both Mirzapur and Sacred Games does an excellent job.
Sacred Games has a more stylized way of telling the story of Mumbai cop Sartaj Singh who gets calls from a criminal Ganesh Gaitonde to save his city in 25 days. However, Mirzapur takes a more rustic approach while telling the story of mafia wars, contention and wrongdoings.
Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui leave no stone unturned to deliver a magical performance in Sacred Games. On the other hand, Mirzapur is brought to life by the performances of Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyendu Sharma.
With terrific performances by some of the most talented actors, the Sacred Games has delivered some of the most amazing dialogues to date like ‘Kabhi kabhi lagta hai, apun hi bhagwan hai.’, ‘Aadmi andar se jitna kaala hota hai, duniya ke samne utna hi safed banne ki koshish karta hai.’, ‘Yeh duniya kaise shuru hui, apun ko nahin pata, par kaise khatam hoga, maloom hai.’.
On the other hand, Mirzapur also served great dialogues like ‘Mata ji yahan hai, Behen yaha hai, Maa-Behen ek karne mein aasani hogi’, ‘Attack me bhi gun, defense me bhi gun, hum banayenge Mirzapur ko Amirica’, ‘Suru majburi mein kiye the…..Ab maza aa rahe hain’
