The website initially started as a viral content generating and sharing website. But now, the company has also begun serving as a news portal. It also acts as a channel for sharing and remedying social concerns.

The Viral Fever (TVF) is an online YouTube channel started by TVF Media Labs in 2010. It is currently owned and operated by Contagious Online Media Network Private Limited. The thought behind starting TVF was to reach out to the younger generation who seldom watch television entertainment, according to the founder Arunabh Kumar. The Viral Fever was the pioneer of web-series in India with hits like Permanent Roommates and Pitchers. Till early August 2019, TVF has over 6.4 million subscribers on YouTube.
