A video of an enraged elephant destroying a bus windshield in the Nilgiris is circulating on social media, and viewers are horrified.
An enraged elephant can be seen galloping towards a government bus in the Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, in this one-minute video.
The enraged elephant smashes the bus windshield as the driver tries to reverse the bus.
The driver, however, gets out of his seat after failing to reverse the bus and draws the elephant’s attention to himself.

The scary occurrence was captured on video by a passenger onboard the bus.
Supriya Sahu, Tamil Nadu’s Principal Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forests, uploaded the tense video on Twitter.
Even after seeing the enraged tusker’s attack, Supriya Sahu thanked the bus driver for being calm and assisting the passengers in returning safely.
The nail-biting event occurred on September 25 and has had over 71k views to date, with the numbers continuing to rise.
However, after seeing the footage, netizens were scared and praised the calm driver for saving the passengers’ lives.
Many others advocated for the closure of highways that run through elephant routes.
