The moment two skydiving planes collided mid-air in 2013, terrifying footage from 2013 resurfaced on Twitter, forcing the pilots and passengers to drop to safety. While one plane collided with the earth, the other returned to the runway. According to CNN at the time, none of the nine passengers or two pilots were seriously injured in the collision.

In November 2013, a plane crashed in Lake Superior, Wisconsin. Both the planes were flying together closely as the skydivers were scheduled to jump in formation, according to skydiving instructor Mike Robinson. The horrific footage, on the other hand, shows the moment the two little Cesnas carrying the skydivers collided and burst into flames.

According to firefighter Vern Johnson, the lead pilot’s glass smashed and he heard a loud noise before jumping. The plane crashed in mid-flight, but happily, it was packed with skydivers who were able to safely drop to safety.

The crash was captured on video and resurfaced on Twitter over eight years later.

Since it was posted, the video has received 4.1 million views.

“This was so crazy scary. I had to look up the storey, shocked to hear everyone survived,” one user posted in the comments section.

“I can’t believe nobody got seriously injured,” another user said.

Mr. Robinson spoke to The Guardian about the incident. “We do this all the time. We just don’t know what happened for sure that caused this.”

“We were just a few seconds away from having a normal skydive when the trail plane came over the top of the lead aircraft and came down on top of it,” he said. “It turned into a big flash fireball, and the wing separated”.
“All of us knew we had a crash. … The wing over our head was gone, so we just left,” he added.
