On social media, a video of a dog snatching the ball during a cricket match has gone viral. A dog entered the stadium during a club cricket match in Ireland and snatched the ball in his mouth. Following that, the players and the dog’s owner hunted him down for the ball.
Ireland Women’s Cricket originally shared the footage. Peter Miller, the Caribbean Premier League’s Head of PR and Communications, retweeted it.

While sharing the video, Miler remarked, “Nothing better than this will happen all summer.”
The video has over 1.7 million views and is still growing. The video has received 48,000 likes and a lot of feedback.
A Twitter user advised against bringing “well-trained” dogs to sporting events. “This is why you should only take your dog to ball-based sports if they have been properly trained,” a user commented. “Would that have counted as four overthrow runs if the dog had run out of the boundary with the ball?” another user wondered.
