On social media, two train drivers have been praised for exhibiting the presence of mind and saving the life of an elephant crossing the rails. The event occurred between Nagrakata and Chalsa in North Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district, where the elephant was sighted strolling very close to the railway tracks. The train was slowed down because the drivers acted quickly and applied the brakes on time. As the train continues to move forward, the elephant can be seen wandering away from the tracks and into the jungle.

The video has gone viral, and many people have praised the train drivers for acting quickly to assist the animal.
”That’s a commendable job. Thanks a lot. I am from Alipurduar so I still remember the accident where many elephants died. Actually, it was happening quite often then. But now the situation has completely changed. Great Job Sir,” one user commented.
