After an alleged attempt at molestation, a 17-year-old girl in Aurangabad, Maharashtra can be seen plunging off an auto-rickshaw on a busy road in the 34-second CCTV video. As soon as the tragedy occurred, bystanders stepped forward to assist the girl.
According to reports, Syed Akbar Hameed has been identified as the alleged auto driver, and he has been detained. He is charged with making offensive comments to the girl on November 13 as she was riding in his auto after completing her tuition classes. According to recent reports, the girl entered the auto-rickshaw at 12 o’clock, and the driver struck up a conversation with her as they were traveling. The driver allegedly made advances toward the girl at first, starting with simple inquiries about her possessions. This frightened the girl, and she made the decision to exit the auto.
At the Kranti Chowk Police Station in Aurangabad, a case has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
