The internet has gone crazy over a terrifying video of a tourist’s encounter with a lion. The video was filmed in Africa’s Serengeti National Park and published on YouTube by Maasai Sightings. It shows a man reaching his hand outside the safari vehicle’s window in an attempt to pet a lion.
The lion is first seen sitting near the vehicle’s windshield by the man in the video. Through the open window, he continues to pet the lion. Within seconds, the animal becomes furious and starts snarling at the man, who feels afraid and tries to close the window as quickly as possible. The video ends in a hazy picture as the person filming tries to get away from the window.
The video is captioned as, “A tourist in Serengeti decided to touch a male lion and almost got her face ripped off. This is a very dumb thing to do and you could easily get yourself killed or banned from a national park by doing this.”
The frightening video has received over 2.7 lakh views and numerous comments. People were enraged by the tourists’ folly and voiced their displeasure in the comments area.
