Two drones are seen soaring in mid-air and playing football in a viral video that has around 2 lakh views. Despite the fact that the video’s creator said that it was an animated clip, numerous social media users seemed to have missed the description and mistook it for a genuine thing.
Two drones are spotted passing a large ball while flying near a high-rise structure in what could be described as an aerial match. The two drones continue the relay for a while, hitting the ball neatly, while someone appears to be filming from afar.
“‘The Machine’ are playing football outdoors after the youngsters are ‘busy’ on their mobile,” IAS officer Awanish Sharan joked on Twitter, sharing the bizarre footage.
While some bemoaned the fact that today’s youngsters are unable to play outside in the open, others marveled at the advancements in technology. “That’s a fantastic technological advancement; teaching a drone to play football is no laughing matter.”
According to Snopes, the video is animated and was developed by Hamid Ebrahimnia, a visual effects and 3D artist. “Drone pilots playing in quarantine,” the Tehran-based artist posted on Instagram in February 2021, uploading the original film. He said, “I did all animations in Cinema 4D, tracked in Mocha, then composited in After Effects.”
