In hindsight, a Brazilian man’s vacation in the French Alps turned out to be more than he bargained for. Later, when he saw a video of himself snowboarding, he realized he was being pursued by a massive bear. However, he was blissfully ignorant of the predator as he relaxed in the snowy landscape.
DJ Alok, also known as Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, was on holiday in Courchevel. The dude was having a great time snowboarding in the area when a bear dashed out of the trees.
In the footage, the man, who is wearing a safety helmet, glasses, and a padded jacket, is noticed setting up his action camera to film his drop after taking a little break. However, he had no idea there was an animal in the footage as he was filming his descent down the mountain.
“Stay tuned till the very end. I was reviewing some of the trip’s recordings, and this day was insane!” he commented on Instagram, posting the video, which has over 5 million views. After a while, it appeared like the bear had stumbled and fallen down and had given up the chase.
Many people believed he was extraordinarily lucky since the animal didn’t pursue him for long after the video went viral. “Didn’t you notice it at the time?” “I had to watch this video 28363 times because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” one said.
