A charming moment when a woman was startled out of sleep by an elephant in her hotel room has been recorded in a viral video. The video, which was posted on Instagram by content producer Sakshi Jain, begins with a woman lying in bed at a hotel when an inquisitive elephant enters and gently prods her with its trunk.
Ms. Jain’s caption said, “Instead of the reception call or your alarms, elephants at this resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand, will wake you up. Even better is that you may approach them and stroll, feed, bathe, and play with them. This encounter was apart from others.”
The little video has received more than 220,000 likes and 53 million views since being shared. Emojis with hearts and faces that seemed in love was all over the comment area.
An individual user remarked, “What a fantastic experience! What more could one ask for than to keep those memories forever, another person said. On the other hand, if it had been me, I would have yelled even louder and ‘RUN’ out of the room without a second thought!”
Another endearing elephant video from Chiang Mai went viral last month. Earlier in June, while Megan Milan was visiting the elephant sanctuary Chia Lai Orchid, a three-week-old elephant started to develop feelings for her. The amusing video shows the unruly infant approaching Ms. Megan knocked her to the ground before rolling on top of her.
