Watermelons, like summer, have arrived. One of the key summer pleasures is indulging in these crimson sweet treats. A video of two hippopotamuses eating watermelon can provide a refreshing and pleasant boost to your attitude. On June 9th, 2021, the San Antonio Zoological Society shared a video on Twitter that many people found amusing.
A person in the video is carrying a watermelon in their left hand and directing a hippopotamus towards a breach in the fence. The guy places the massive watermelon in the hippopotamus’ mouth as it follows directions and opens its mouth wide.
With the watermelon in its mouth, the hippo pulls its mouth back, lowers it, and crushes it. Apart from the spilling, the melon falls down in two large pieces.
Following that, we watch another hippopotamus, most likely a companion of the first, consume one of the two portions as the first hippo eats the other. They are focused and like summer meals. When the first hippo is nearly through with the red half, the zookeeper takes it up and replaces the watermelon in the animal’s mouth. The creature, on the other hand, lets the chunk fall to the ground and consumes it in its own way.
A Twitter user commented on the video, saying that this is how watermelons should be eaten. Another person found it amusing that the hippopotamus shared its watermelon with a companion. A third user indicated an urgent desire to visit the zoo.
Every summer, videos showing hippopotamuses consuming watermelons in one or two bites become viral. Hippopotamuses have a powerful bite, with one capable of crushing more than 60 watermelons. The San Antonio Zoological Society, which published the video on Twitter, is a zoological and aquarium organization in Texas, United States.
