We all know how scary lightning can be, and it’s common knowledge that standing under trees during thunderstorms is a bad idea. However, if you need any more reminders, this video will suffice.

When a tree is struck by lightning, it is usually blasted apart or its roots die, causing the tree to rot. However, there are situations when the outcome of such a natural event is drastically different – to the point where many people may find it difficult to believe.

This bizarre video depicts a tree on fire… from the inside. On Twitter, a video of the extremely unusual occurrence was recently uploaded. “A tree struck by lightning has a fire blazing inside it.” While many have questioned the video’s validity, similar instances have occurred before. Despite the fact that the video appears to have been enhanced with Photoshop, burning trees have been witnessed previously and have gained a lot of attention in the past.

During strong thunderstorms in Oklahoma, US, last month, a lightning strike broke a toilet after passing through the apartment’s exhaust vent. Thankfully, no one was really using the restroom at the time of the event. The toilet was smashed and in bits all over the floor in the viral photos.
