So many of us see surfers out in the back ripping on waves, or surfers on posters, in competition, or on television making it appear so simple and effortless, and assume that if we want to be surfers, we must be able to surf like them, right?

The beauty of surfing is that there are so many various kinds and sorts of waves to learn to master, yet we usually just focus on the shortboarders being barreled. That is perfectly OK if that is your goal and you have a strong knowledge of what that person had to go through to get to that level.

Footage shows the youngster cutting through the water while standing on his surfboard.

His parents can be heard cheering him on as he hops off the board like a genuine pro before coming to a halt at the beach. The video was shot on a beach in Guaruja, Brazil, a seaside resort near So Paulo. As he finishes his ride, the child makes the Hawaiian surf culture friendly “shaka” symbol with his hand. The toddler’s sole assistance comes when a family member lifts him onto the board and then gestures in the direction of the beach. It’s believed this was his second attempt after asking to use his sister’s surfboard.

His initial attempt was not recorded. “A day at the beach with the family, this day my son asked for his sister’s surfboard to surf, and it was the second wave of his life,” one of the boy’s parents stated. Guaruja is a famous coastal city located around 55 kilometres from So Paulo.

A family member assisted the small child in getting onto the board, and he then took off, catching a wave in the process. He then gets on the surfboard and rides the wave. He keeps going all the way to the shore, where he hops off the board like a pro.
