A video of a Kanpur golgappa vendor demonstrating his impeccable English speaking skills went viral on the internet, impressing viewers. Not only that, but users praised his cooking procedure for being clean and hygienic. The vendor, identified as Rahul, is a graduate who speaks English and owns Murli Patashe wala store in Kanpur.
Gaurav Wasan, a culinary blogger, shared the video on his YouTube Swad Official profile on Instagram. In the video, he is seen cooking a variety of delectable delicacies while speaking in English. Rahul introduces himself in the video before demonstrating the food products he sells. “Myself Rahul. A very common name. And we are the famous graduate golgappe vaala,”, he says in the video
“My father is very famous for his pani puri and we use homemade masalas to make everything,” Rahul says further explaining how he prepares the items which include the lip-smacking ‘pani puri’, ‘dahi dhaniya aloo’, ‘dahi meethe bataashe’. Rahul’s father began the street food stand, and he is now successfully running the chaat corner.
