How to Get into the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test

According to a Steam FAQ(Opens in a new tab), Valve’s procedure for distributing invites to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test is unusual. You have no influence over whether or not you are chosen, and it is unclear how long the Limited Test will run or when additional players will be let in.

Well, all you have to do is play CS: GO and wait for an invite to appear on the game’s main menu screen. That can’t be done via email or even Steam; it has to be done in an earlier Counter-Strike game. Weird. Here’s how Valve is now choosing who gets in and who doesn’t:

The Counter-Strike 2 development team chooses players based on a variety of criteria, including (but not limited to) recent gameplay on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account status.

To put it another way, if you’ve been playing a lot of CS:GO on official Valve servers and have been a good citizen, your chances of getting in will improve. We hope you enjoy it.

This section is substantially easier. The Limited Test is presently limited to two modes, according to Valve’s FAQ: Deathmatch and Unranked Competitive. In addition, there is just one map, the classic Dust2 from previous Counter-Strike releases. The word “Limited” is there for a purpose, people.

Having said that, CS:GO players will be allowed to utilize stickers, weapon finishes, and any other inventory items from CS2. That’s great. Now go off and enjoy the most unusual of good occurrences: Valve is working on a new video game. Hence, keep visiting IWMBuzz.com for more wonderful material and articles.
