Gameplay, Weapons, And Abilities Of Overwatch 2: Sojourn Have Been Revealed, Check Out

Check out what are the features that have been revealed.

Sojourn’s armory is highlighted by a large railgun, which makes her a great mid-range character, according to a blog post on the Overwatch website.

It launches quick projectiles that generate energy when they strike an enemy, which is subsequently used to produce a far more powerful blast that serves as Sojourn’s secondary. The railgun, despite being a simple weapon, scales with player skill because secondary damage is affected by accuracy.

“We wanted to develop a mid-range hero that rewarded accuracy while still being engaging for players of all skill levels and playtime,” said Josh Noh, senior hero designer.

Another ability is the Disruptor Shot, which is an AOE attack that ensnares enemies and depletes their health. It was designed to work in tandem with the secondary attack because it allows for a more accurate shot.

Sojourn also has a lot of maneuverability thanks to a rocket-powered slide that she can cancel into a high jump to reposition herself rapidly. “We wanted to add a vertical element to her kit to help establish her role as a mobility damage hero by allowing her to easily attain high-ground vantage locations,” Noh explained.

Finally, her Ultimate ability, Overclock, charges the railgun’s energy for a short time and allows her rounds to pierce many adversaries if the player is precise enough.

Noh stated, “It was our goal to make it feel like a hitscan version of a Genji Dragon Blade. You’ll only have a short amount of time to make a huge play, or you’ll miss all of your shots.”

While that’s all there is to know about Sojourn’s gameplay, Blizzard recently revealed her Soldier: 76-inspired origin narrative. So far, she’s the only new character announced for Overwatch 2, but the sequel will feature all 32 characters from the first game.

On April 26, players who have access to the first PC closed beta can try her out, and while Blizzard hasn’t set a release date for the game’s formal launch, it has stated that the PvP and PvE modes would be released separately. As per an article by IGN.
