BLACKPINK, a rising k-pop girl group, continues to set sales, YouTube, and streaming records. BLACKPINK’s Rose is bringing her music and dance abilities to a larger audience, with the smash tune Ddu-Du Ddu-Du hitting the top of iTunes charts in more than 18 countries and 620 million views.
She was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1997 and raised in Melbourne, Australia, since she was seven years old. YG Entertainment noticed her skills at an audition in Melbourne when she was just 15 years old. Rose Park Chae-young joined BLACKPINK after four years and two months of training.
Her dancing talents and ability to achieve high notes are regarded as outstanding even for experienced artists in South Korea since she is the group’s main dancer with a lovely, dreamy voice.
Rose can sketch and twirl her hands in 360 degrees and enjoys playing the piano and guitar. The group has 60 million Instagram followers, and its music videos have been seen over 2.5 billion times on YouTube. Rose is the first female member of the group to reach a million Instagram followers.
Rose, the quietest member of BLACKPINK, was a law student at Canterbury Girls’ Secondary College before leaving out after a successful audition. Her older sister, lawyer Alice Park, is also a well-known Instagram celebrity.
She cited Korean actor Gong Yoo as a celebrity who is close to her dream lover in an interview with 2 O’Clock Date. She expects her future husband to be pleasant and sincere, with a distinctive voice.
The petite artist is a foodie. Rose enjoys kimchi stew, peppers, mangoes, and healthy beverages despite her disdain of “mushy and strange” avocados. After her regular exercises, she treats herself to a little cheat meal.
