Do you cook at home? What do you make? Share a recipe with us

Yes, I love cooking. I make a lot of dishes for my family. If I am asked to share a recipe with you, I will want to talk about Dal Bati. I am from MP from a region called Nimar.

I take the easy way to make Dal Bati.

Take 1 cup wheat flour, ½ cup rawa, put a bit of Ajwain, little bit of salt. You can put ghee or oil. But I prefer to keep it healthy and put milk or curd to make a dough. In the gas tandoor, we cook it nicely after making it into small rounds.

Make the dal separately. Since it is summer now, and we are in the season of mangoes, I prefer to put raw mango in it. My favourite meal is Dal Bati.

Veg or Non-Veg:

I am a pure vegetarian.

Baked or Fried:

Baked

Soup or Salad:

Salad

One vegetable that you hate the most:

Nothing like that. But I feel it really boring to cut pumpkin, but I like making it.

Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain Fame Shubhangi Atre SHARES Her ‘Special’ Dal Bati Recipe 1

Your erotica food:

Something spicy, chat!! Or I would say any fruit with icecream.

The weirdest dish you ever ate:

We had been to Thailand for vacation. I wanted to eat salad to keep away from non-vegetarian food. But I simply could not eat that as they had put some fish sauce in it. That was the weirdest thing.

Celebrity you would love to cook for:

Akshay Kumar for sure!! He is a fitness freak and a desi too. I love making Indian food, so it will be nice to cook for him. On the set, I make something always for Aasifji.

Midnight Snack:

Yes, that will be Sattu

The dish that your family loves when you make:

Everything they like!! They are scared of me actually (laughs). But yes, I try my best to make my dishes really good. They like it the most when I make Kadi Pakoda. One major thing is that my daughter loves it when I make Kadai Paneer and Paneer Butter Masala.

The best compliment got was for which dish:

Recently, I tried Amritsari Kulcha with Bhindi Chole. I had even sent it to my neighbours in addition to my family eating it. All liked it. I got complimented for the subtle spices I use in my dishes. I believe the authentic spices should only be put in a delicacy. And when you prepare a dish with all your mind and interest, there is a soul in it. All dishes made should be soulful, it adds to the taste.
