During Ganesh Chaturthi, different varieties of modaks are been made.

During this festival as it is believed that they are the most favourite sweet dish of Lord Ganesha.

Ingredients-

1 kg cashew nut paste, 500 gms powdered sugar, 2 cups water, cardamom powder.

Method-

1. To prepare sugar syrup, add water in the sugar and cardamom powder bring it to boil. Later, heat a pan over a low flame, add sugar syrup and cashew nut paste in it for 15 mins. keep it aside and the mixture cool.
2. After the mixture is cooled. Put it into the modak shaped molds. keep that mixture in the mold for 5 – 6 mins. Take the modaks out once they are in shape.
3. You’ll be having now around 60 modaks. Keep them aside to get set at room temperature. your modaks are ready to be served.
