Paayal Kapoor Nair the Chhapaak fame actress is a foodie to the core. She cooks delicacies from varied cuisines and experiments a lot when it comes to cooking.

What is your favourite cheat food?

I eat everything in small proportions. If there has to be a cheat food, it will be Gulab Jamun or Pizza.

What would your last meal on Earth be?

It will be Dal, with ghee, rice, any good vegetable sabzi like potato or beans, pickle, papadam and salad.

I am a very good cook. I experiment with all kinds of food cuisines – Italian, Chinese, Thai, Lebanese etc. I also got into baking during the lockdown. I make very good Caramel Custard, and Mango Desserts.

I cook everything from a basic meal, to Chicken and Fish Curry. I also make exotic continental stuff. I recently made Thai Curry Noodles in Coconut Cream with Chicken. I also made Fresh Mango Salad with Lettuce and Cucumber and Cottage Paneer.

Veg or Non Veg?

I am normally a vegetarian. But I am a seafood lover, love it. I eat Fish, Prawns and Chicken too.

One vegetable that you hate the most?

I don’t hate any vegetable if it is cooked well. But I am not too fond of Arbi.

Midnight snack?

Biscuit or Cookie

The dish that your family loves when you make:

My family loves everything that I make. I cook lovely South Indian food. I make good Sambar, Avial, anything from Mallu cuisine. I have learnt it from my late mother-in-law.

The best compliment got was for which dish:

I get great compliments from family and friends. They yearn to come home to have my food. I make good Pasta, Italian food and Salads.
