Ingredients:-
¾ lb. lasagna noodles, 1 tsp. Extra-virgin olive oil (extra for drizzling), 2 lb. ground beef, 4 garlic cloves, 2 tsp dried oregano, Kosher salt, Fresh ground black pepper, 2 jars marinara, 16 oz. Whole milk ricotta, ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan, ¼ cup chopped parsley (extra for garnishing), 1 large egg, 2 lb mozzarella (grated).
Procedure:-
- Preheat oven to 375º. According to package directions, cook pasta in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente for less than 2 minutes.
- Drain and drizzle a few drops of olive oil; this prevents noodles from sticking together.
- Take a large pot over medium heat, and heat oil. Cook ground beef until it’s no longer pink, and break it with a wooden spoon.
- After removing from the heat, drain the contents. Then, put the beef back into the skillet and add garlic and oregano. Continue to stir for 1 minute while cooking.
- To prepare the dish, begin by seasoning with salt and pepper. Next, add marinara and stir until it is heated throughout. Combine ricotta, ¼ cup Parmesan, parsley, and egg in a separate large mixing bowl. Season this mixture with salt and pepper and set it aside for later use.
- To assemble the lasagna, spread a quarter of the meat sauce evenly across the bottom of a large casserole dish. Then, place a single layer of lasagna noodles on the sauce. Add a layer of ricotta mixture to the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Finally, add another layer of meat sauce to complete the layering process.
- Repeat layers, topping the last layer of noodles with meat sauce, Parmesan, and mozzarella.
- To bake it, set the timer for 15 minutes and cover it with foil during baking.
- Now, remove the foil and cook uncovered for 20 minutes at a temperature of up to 400° C.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
