Ingredients required:
1 tablespoon canola oil, 4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed, a teaspoon of salt and pepper, 2 medium Fuji or Gala apples, chopped into pieces, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1 garlic clove, minced, 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup apple cider or juice and 1 tablespoon honey.

Procedure:

In a large pan or a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Now add the chicken thighs and let it brown from both sides, once done sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Transfer this chicken to a cooker with the apples. Also, side by, cook the onion in the same saucepan and mix on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add garlic to it and cook for more than 4-5 minutes.

Add barbecue sauce, apple cider, and honey to it and increase the flame, and stir. Cook more for 1 minute or until properly incorporated. Pour this sauce over chicken and apples in the cooker.

Now cover and cook on low flame for 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours or until chicken is completely tender.
