On a hot summer day, nothing tastes better than a glass of Mango Iced Tea. When you know how to prepare a mango simple syrup, you can make this fruit-flavored iced tea in no time.

It’s mango season, and this is a delicious way to use them.

Making fruit-flavored iced teas is a straightforward process. All you need to do is produce a basic mango syrup.

During the hot summer months, I enjoy making flavored iced drinks with in-season fruit. It’s a refreshing change from iced tea.

Flavored iced tea recipes are ideal for summer backyard barbecues, picnics, and park days. Or simply enjoying the weather on the porch with friends.

Although, in Florida, we like to stay indoors with the air conditioner turned down to the lowest setting since we feel like we are melting at this time of year.

Even though it’s hot outdoors, we still prefer to sip our iced tea. It’s a Southern custom.

When visitors come over, presenting an ice-cold glass of Mango Iced Tea is a terrific way to amaze them while we catch up.

MANGO ICED TEA RECIPE

Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup of water

2 large ripe mangos, peeled and diced

10 regular-sized black or green tea bags

6 cups of water

Directions

In a saucepan, combine the mango, sugar, and water.

Heat on low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Raise the temperature to medium-high.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat.

Cook for about 10 minutes, mashing the mango pieces with a potato masher as needed. and take it off the heat

Allow cooling to room temperature after removing from the heat.

To remove the particles, strain through a fine-mesh strainer.

Refrigerate for up to a week in a bottle.

TO MAKE A GLASS OF MANGO ICED TEA

Directions

Pour 6 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

In a large pot of boiling water, place ten regular-size black or green tea bags.

Remove the pot from the heat after 1 minute of boiling.

Allow 5 minutes to steep and cool slightly.

Ice cubes should be placed in a half-gallon pitcher.

Over the ice, pour the tea.

Ice cubes should be placed in a glass.

In a glass, pour around 4 tablespoons of mango syrup.

Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea.

Serve with a sprig of mint and lemon or lime slices as garnish.
