Oats are one such nutrient-dense meal that is frequently eaten for breakfast. Oats are quick and simple to prepare, high in fiber, and loaded with several health advantages.
Luke Coutinho, a celebrity nutritionist, recently posted a recipe for a nutritious oat groats dish on his YouTube channel. “Here’s a quick, easy, and healthy preparation of oats groats. It is simple, high in fiber, and keeps you feeling fuller for longer. You can also add any of your favorite toppings,” he said in a Facebook post.
Recipe for oat groats
Ingredients – 3 cups of water, 2 cups of optional almond milk, 1 cup of gluten-free oat groats a dash of rolled cinnamon from Sri Lanka, 2 tablespoons of soaked chia seeds, 2 teaspoons of soaked and chopped cashew, walnut, and almond seeds, 1 tablespoon of cacao powder, and additional tablespoons of pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
Methods:
- In a saucepan, heat 3 cups of water. Add the soaked gluten-free steel-cut oats once it reaches a boil.
- Let it simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
- Continue to stir the mixture until it gets quite thick.
- Get rid of the heat. Mix-ins can be used, like 1 tablespoon cacao powder and a dash of Sri Lankan cinnamon. Give the oatmeal five minutes to rest.
- When it has cooled, mix in almond milk.
- Use nuts and seeds as garnishes.
