For this cake, you’ll be needing plain dessert chocolate(200 g), dark muscovado sugar (120g), butter(120g), 3 eggs, self-raising flour(90g), ground almonds (60g), and for the frosting you will need plain dessert chocolate(200g), single cream(200 ml), dark rum(2 tbs), dark cocoa powder(2tbs).

Procedure-

Break the chocolate and microwave it and then add sugar and butter. Use a beater to combine all the ingredients until they are fluffy and light. After that, mix in eggs one by one and stir in the flour.

Divide the mixture between cake tins.

Bake the cakes in a preheated microwave until slightly brown. Cool in the tin for a few minutes and then remove the cake from the tins and remove the lining paper. Then keep the cakes aside to cool.

For frosting melt the chocolate with the cream in a mixing bowl and stir gently until well mixed after adding in the rum. Scoop 4 tablespoons of the mix aside.

Let the mixture cool aside and then use the beater to mix the chocolate cream till it’s thicker and lighter. Then use the cream to cover the side of the cake and sandwich the cake.

After this add on chocolate truffles on top of your cake and your Rum truffle cake is ready.
