Due to the coronavirus pandemic, learning from home for a child becomes mandatory. Home learning or online learning is how most of the schools are continuing to provide for student’s education while being distanced from the world. Sometimes we feel physically attending school is always better option, a child gets the opportunity to interact with others and can have lots of activities. As the situation is not permitting child need to continue learning through online mode. Here we look at some ways you can help your child to learn from home.

Helping your child to learn from home is depending upon their age and learning style and how they grab the study is important. You can reach out to the child’s school or other parents for advice. First, you have to create a structure for learning at home and then make a schedule or a to-do list for them. Work with your child to plan their day. Make a typical schedule for them and paste it on the wall.

If your child is learning to read, you can use pictures to show them their schedule and how they can use it to create a better learning experience. Few things you need to follow to help your child.

Be sure to include breaks in your child’s schedule to not make them feel burdened with all studies. Keep them on the routine check and make sure their school work time fits with your family’s schedule and also another curriculum of theirs like playtime, etc. For younger children who required more structure, try using a timer to know when to switch activities. Try to make set-up like school. Let your child pick their school space at home and help set it up for themselves so that they love that they choose it themselves.

Also, you can set up a reward system for them to indicate a good start and better results. This will give them encouragement for their performance and to perform with utmost enthusiasm. Also, physical activities in between are very crucial and it is helpful for overall health and offers emotional benefits as well.
