Dos and Don’ts Of Exercising During Summer Season

Summer is the best season to start off with your fitness journey. As has been known, it’s comparatively easier and faster to lose weight and extra calories on summer days than in any other season. Exercising is particularly an important practice that must be done by everyone at least a few times a week.

There are numerous benefits of exercising like it improves your health and reduces the risk of developing numerous diseases. Mainly regular physical activity improves your quality of life.

Though it is highly beneficial to exercise in the summer season there are certain basic dos and don’ts you need to consider before you start sweating yourself. Too much exercise and sweat can drive to nausea, headache, dehydration, and heatstroke. Just consuming plenty of water is not enough because when you sweat, your body doesn’t only lose water but also salt and electrolytes.

Let’s have a look at these basic dos and don’ts.

In summertime consider working out either early in the morning or after the sunset, do not work out when the sun is up i.e. mainly from 10:00 am-3:00 pm which is the hottest part of the day.

While working out, wear loose and light-colored clothes. Loose clothes will make air circulation easier through your body; various tight clothes will heat you up and create discomfort.

Light-colored clothes or white clothes reflect heat whereas dark-colored clothes absorb heat.

Make sure to apply sunscreen if you are exercising outside to prevent sunburns and always carry a water bottle wherever you go exercising and keep sipping water in between your workout routine.

Lastly, look out for any warning signs. Do not exercise to the extreme point that you start feeling nauseous.

Exercising is great and important but while so make sure you take the required basic precautions we have listed above.
