Many parents can relate to the frustration caused by their kids when they refuse to eat. A healthy and proper diet is necessary for kids as well as adults, but most of the children refuse to eat anything or vegetables that they find boring.
A child’s healthy diet should contain 70% fruits and vegetables, cereals and grains, and 30% fish, dairy products or meat, or their vegetarian equivalent.
Here are some tips that will help you-
1. Don’t force them- If they aren’t willing to eat don’t force your children otherwise they will have a difficult time assessing their own appetite.
2. Don’t worry unnecessarily- Your child’s appetite can vary greatly. There is absolutely no reason to worry too much about their diet.
3. Pay attention to snacks- Don’t give your children too much of snacks before mealtime. That will make them feel hungry and they will eat dinner or lunch.
4. Drinks- Don’t let your children drink water or any other drinks in between their mealtime or even before a meal, this will just fill their stomach up.
5. Use your imagination- Sometimes cook their favourite food like pasta, noodles, but add all the vegetables to it. Add more colours, designs, or shapes to the food this will make the dish look attractive and your child will eat it willingly.
