Talented young actor Kunal Khosla who is presently seen in Star Bharat show Amma Ke Babu Ki Baby is a fitness freak to the core. He has a vigorous schedule when it comes to working out and is diligent to his goals.

Cheat Food:

I am a huge foodie. So a Burger to a Pizza, Pastry, Doughnut are my favorites. Having said that, I don’t cheat too much. I cheat maybe on Sundays when it comes to one meal.

Favourite Exercise:

I don’t have a specific exercise that I favour over the rest. My entire workout routine is a combination of a lot of movements, pushing and pulling movements, and movements to strengthen the body. So I have a combination of all exercises on a daily basis. My goal is to remain healthy and fit, rather than just look muscular. I don’t have a favourite exercise. However, I like running, cardio oriented or flexibility oriented movement.

The purpose of exercise for you is:

As I said, it is not about hitting the gym and lifting weights and looking all beefed up. Yes, that’s a byproduct of it and as an actor, it always helps. The entire idea of me to work myself is to keep myself in an active frame of mind. An actor’s life keeps us busy all the time. This break in the form of exercise is like a break from the monotonous routine that helps me keep my body fit.

Fruit or juices: 

I don’t believe that juices have high nutritional value. I feel that if you eat the fruit as a whole in its raw state, you will benefit much.

Stairs or lift:

Always stairs. I think I don’t get much chance to move around. So every single time, I get a chance to climb up or downstairs, I prefer it.

Your best morning routine will comprise of:

Eight hours of proper sleep, followed by a healthy breakfast and a short workout.

Your favourite lockdown exercise:

In the lockdown, I figured out that if I climb up and down the stairs of my 15-floor building, it will be a good exercise. So during the lockdown, I used to have my breakfast and climb up and down the 15 floors twice.

Yoga Or Weights: 

It is hard to choose for me. I am not a person who would advocate for one of them individually. I think a perfect workout routine is a combination of a lot of movements like flexibility, weight lifting and light stretching that includes Yoga. So you cannot rely on one particular thing.

Walking or Jogging:

I prefer brisk walking over jogging. It is lighter on your knees and you can prolong it for a longer time when compared to a sprint or run.

Your take on health supplements:

In today’s time, there is a supplement for everything. But excessive supplements are not something that I will support. The word as it says is to supplement your body. So small intakes of it are good enough and are not the sole source of all nutrition.

Best way to burn calories:

I have seen people spending long hours in the gym. I believe that is a big myth and a lie. I think 40 minutes of a great workout is much more effective than having a prolonged session.

Your take on six-pack abs:

Six pack abs are great visually. But as a lifestyle, if you can maintain those abs, it is great. But it is impossible to maintain a six-pack ab diet for all your life. You are practically on no carbohydrates, very little water, low-fat levels, and prolonging this diet for a long time is not required and can be costly to the body. For me, I do like being in a low-fat percentage. I don’t have six-pack abs constantly and I am very open about it. But at the same time, I make sure that I don’t have a paunch. My diet has carbohydrates, fats and protein sources.

Any personal goals in mind with regards to fitness:

 My personal goals are very short term. I set a goal for the next day on the previous day. I just want to get a bit better than what I was yesterday. I set these small personal targets for myself and don’t overburden myself. I want to be this energetic and agile as long as I live.

One tip for everyday fitness:

You have to do what you can with what you have. Do things in moderation and that is also fine. Keep doing things that keep you active. One golden sentence of wisdom that I want to give is, Do what you can, with what you have. Do not get influenced or swayed by what you read and watch.
