Now and then most people face neck problems and it may cause due to several factors, like poor posture, movement pattern, or the habit of holding the head in one position.
To get rid of neck problems, there are plenty of options like exercise, medication, stretching, physiotherapy, etc. But there are a few yoga exercises, which will help you to get rid of a stiff neck.
Here we look at those few exercises.
** STANDING FORWARD BEND POSE.
* Stand with feet under your hips.
* Fold your body forward, tuck the chin in your chest and let your head and neck fully relax.
* Shake your head from side to side, front to back, or in a circular motion.
* Hold this position for one minute and relax.
** EXTENDED TRIANGLE POSE.
The extended triangle pose is the best yoga exercise for your stiff neck.
* Keep your feet apart so that they are wider than your hips.
* Turn your right toes forward and left toes out in angle.
* Bring your arms parallel to the floor with palms facing down.
* Reach forward with your right arm as you swing at your right hip.
* Lower your right arm and lift your left arm and be in this position for a few seconds and repeat with the opposite side.
** CAT-COW POSE.
This yoga exercise pose is good for stiff neck.
* In this pose begin on all fours with your hands under your shoulders and knees under hips.
* Inhale, fill the air in the belly and lower it towards the floor. Look up at the ceiling.
* Lower your chin and while exhaling turn to look at your right shoulder and left shoulder one by one.
* Tuck your chin into your chest as you round your spine.
* Shake your head from side to side and forward and backward.
* After this variation, hold the cat-cow pose for one minute and relax.
