In April 2014, the two of them got engaged.
In February 2015, Depp who was 51 and Heard who was 28 got married. In the same year, Heard was charged of smuggling two of their dogs to Australia.
In 2016, Heard filed for divorce. She had lodged complaints of Depp being abusive towards her. Depp denied the charge and accused her of blackmailing him for a better financial settlement.
In August 2016, Depp and Heard announced the divorce settlement. They told media that their relationship “intensely passionate and at times volatile but always bound by love”.
In 2017, Depp filed a 25 million dollars lawsuit accusing his former business managers of committing fraud.
