It can be challenging to decide in a relationship whether to let things happen naturally or to have “the chat” about your future together. You need to be aware that you and your partner have the same goals and objectives if you want your relationship to progress over time. Since when is too slow in a relationship actually too slow?
One thing needs to be mentioned, though! Never make comparisons between your relationship and those of others. Relationships develop at varying rates for each person. For instance, a buddy of mine got married and got engaged four months after they first met. Although you would think that is extremely quick, it was very effective for them.

A friend of mine has been with her spouse for more than ten years. Still residing in their own residences, they lead a rather lax lifestyle. They enjoy it. Once more, it benefits them.

It all depends on whether you two are content with how quickly things are going. The likelihood is that you sense something is off if you’re questioning how slow a relationship is too sluggish.

You shouldn’t push things in the early stages of a relationship. It’s never a good idea to try it. There are many people in the world who panic whenever someone they’re seeing tries to take things further or when they start to wonder what kind of relationship it is. That’s great if you’ve only been dating a short while and you’re both figuring things out; however, if you’ve been dating for a while, you might want to think about if you’re dating someone who is afraid of commitment.
