There are plenty of table manners which you need to follow. At any age regardless of your status or earnings, table manners are very essential. This will make others comfortable and keep us from embarrassing ourselves. All of us should feel confident when we sit down at the table and it comes with knowledge and practice. 1. Always chew things with your mouth closed.
2. Always keep the smartphone away from the table and if not possible, at least keep it on silent or vibration mode. Don’t be in a hurry to check your calls. Wait until you finish and away from the table.
3. Hold utensils correctly and properly use a fork and spoon.
4. Always come to the table clean. Don’t try to groom or attend to hygiene on the table.
5. Always use napkins.
6. Wait until you finish chewing to sip a drink.
7. Your eating pace should be proper and should match your fellow diner. Try to only one piece at a time.
8. Do not place your elbows on the table while eating. This is considered to be bad manners.
9. Don’t try to reach across the table for something. Better ask for it to be passed to you.
10. Bring your best self to the meal and have a better interaction and take part in the dinner conversation. Try to make a healthy discussion.
