Forty-seven years old, Twinkle Khanna is a dextrous actress. She started her journey with films and landed on being one of the best writers in India. Twinkle Khanna made her debut in the Bollywood industry alongside Bobby Deol in the film Barsaat. Her debut marked a good start, with Twinkle receiving Best Filmfare debut and the highest-grossing film. But Khanna wasn’t too interested in doing films, and she left acting midway.
Khanna co-founded Grazing Goat Pictures and has produced films like Tees Maar Khan, Patiala House, Khiladi 786, Holiday: A soldier is never off duty and many more. In addition, Twinkle Khanna launched her own six-year-old production house, Mrs. Funnybones Movies. This production house co-produced the film Pad Man featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte. Also, the film won the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social issues.
The diva Twinkle is also keen on interior design. She has built Supertech’s ORB projects in Delhi’s Noida and Maharashtra’s Pune. In addition, she mentors at the International Institute Of Fashion Designing’s Academy Of Interiors. The film producer is also an activist who educated people about the menstrual cycle and often talked about women’s empowerment.
While not just this, Twinkle is also an amazing author. The actress launched her first non-fiction book, Mrs. Funnybones, which was a best-selling book. This made Twinkle the highest-selling woman author of that year. The next book ‘The Legends of Lakshmi Prasad’ is a book with several short stories and the book was then made into a film Pad Man. Khanna’s first novel Pyjamas are Forgiving, once again made her the highest-selling female author in India in the year 2018.
Twinkle Khanna is married to Khiladi Kumar, aka Akshay Kumar. She shares a great bond with her husband. The duo has a daughter and son together named Nitara and Aarav, respectively.
