Shri Kuldeep Nikam had figured out that there’s more to life than what we are taught and made to believe at a very early age. His religious outings with this mother had gotten a spiritual interest in him, so when he founded Dattaprabodhinee Pratisthan in 2016, his aim was very practical – he wanted to help people deal with stress and wrong-goings in life. He wanted to give practical solutions.
The founder of Dattaprabodhinee Pratisthan says that it is very important to understand that all the objects at your home have energy too. It can have positive and negative effects on you. And these effects are not just financial, but also social and psychological.
Shri Kuldeep Nikam engages in a spiritual analysis of your place, called Sholay Shodhan, and comes up with a solution. But for the general public to understand, he has a few tips.
The position of the television
It is suggested to have the TV mounted on the southeast corner. Avoid fixing it on the northwestern wall as this will result in the family wasting too much time watching television instead of talking to each other.
Use bright lights
While it may a trend to have subtle lighting these days, Shri Kuldeep Nikam says that we should have bright lighting at our places. Bright rooms invite positive energy just as dark rooms repel it.
Choosing the right colour
It is pretty common knowledge that some colours bring positive energy to the living room. As per Shri Kuldeep Nikam’s vastu, white, light yellow, green and blue are the best choices for the living area as they bring in a tranquil vibe.
Use of curtains
If your living room windows face the north or east from where the morning sun comes in, it is suggested to use light or sheer curtains. But if your windows in the south or west, use heavy drapes.
How to pick furniture, as per vastu
When it’s time to choose furniture, instead of picking circular ones, go for square or rectangular pieces. A modular sofa unit works well.
