Zendaya, who was born on September 1, 1996, became well-known as a child star on the Disney Channel thanks to her roles in “Shake It Up” and “K.C. Undercover,” which are beloved by viewers. The singer and actress soon ventured into the world of big-budget movies, landing the coveted part of MJ, Tom Holland’s love interest, in the “Spider-Man” movies. Zendaya gained the most notoriety in 2020 when, at the age of 19, she won the Best Drama Actress Emmy Award for her performance as a teen addict in “Euphoria.” The Denis Villeneuve-directed film “Dune” and the Oscar-buzzed film “Malcolm & Marie” in 2021 helped her film career continue to soar.

Shake It Up

The actress, who was 13 at the time, made her first significant on-screen appearance in this Disney Channel series. In the movie, CeCe Jones (Bella Thorne) and Rocky Blue (Zendaya) are best friends who both want to work as professional dancers in Chicago.

K.C. Undercover

In addition to acting in “K.C. Undercover,” Zendaya made a comeback to the Disney Channel in 2015 as a co-producer. She plays smart-aleck high schooler K.C. Cooper, who, like her parents, is hired to work as an undercover spy. There were three seasons of the program.

The Greatest Showman

As Anne Wheeler, an acrobat in this show, Zendaya enjoyed flying through the air. On the soundtrack for the tracks “The Greatest Show,” “Come Alive,” and “Rewrite the Stars,” Zendaya gets to strut her stuff musically.

Dune

The verdict on her complete performance is still out because this eagerly awaited film adaption from director Denis Villeneuve was postponed to October 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Zendaya’s portrayal of Chani, Timothee Chalamet’s character Paul’s love interest stands out.

Euphoria

The HBO drama series about teenage drug user Rue Bennett caught our attention and turned Disney star Zendaya into a professional actress. Emmys concurred. Just two years older than the previous record-holder, Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”), she was 24 when she accepted the award.
