Gloria Darlene Tonachio (née Cisson), a real estate manager, and Franklin Thomas Fox, a parole officer, reared Megan Denise Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee, where she was born on May 16, 1986. She started studying dance and drama when she was five years old, and at age ten, she relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she graduated high school and continued her training. Following her success at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where she won multiple accolades, Megan started acting and modelling at the age of 13.
