Here are some of Leo’s most memorable performances, which helped him become the superstar he is today. This list will only improve in the future.
This Boy’s Life (1993)
Leo plays Toby, a clever but rambunctious adolescent desperate to avoid his new stepfather’s wrath and brutal punishment measures. When Leo was featured in this bizarre coming-of-age thriller, he was a teenager. You’ll be weak in the knees as you read about his terrible condition as a boy who is repeatedly wronged and misunderstood. You’ll root for him as he learns to stand up for himself, protect himself, and fight for what’s right. His sensitivity and defiance are both captivating.
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Leo demonstrated his wild skills as Arnie Grape, the autistic sibling of Johnny Depp’s character. It wasn’t a cheap rip-off of someone attempting to play mentally handicapped’ in the manner we’ve come to expect. He was also absurdly young at the time. At that age, mastering such a difficult and demanding role was no easy task. Everything about him was spot on, from his fidgety body language to his unpredictable thoughts, drawing you deeper into his unique universe.
Titanic (1997)
Leo was fast establishing himself as the perfect romantic hero. In James Cameron’s epic drama, he reappeared as a star-crossed lover once more. It went on to become one of the most successful films of all time. Leo played a homeless man who fell in love with a high-class girl on a sinking ship, giving us one of cinema’s most classic love stories and a couple we all rooted for. After Titanic, Leo became a true superstar, his ability going out to the entire world.
Catch Me If You Can (2002)
In this nail-bitingly compelling thriller, Leo gave Tom Hanks a run for his money. He was portrayed as a failsafe con artist on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list in the blockbuster flick. Within a role, he performed a variety of roles. He was everything, from a doctor to a pilot to a lawyer, and he did it all so convincingly. No one could catch him until he reached the end of the road.
Inception (2010)
Who hasn’t discussed this amazing, extremely imaginative work of genius? This film is like a never-ending maze; the deeper you go, the more your head is messed up. But at the heart of it all is Leo, who is more energetic than ever. As a complicated, multi-layered individual who can hack other people’s minds and steal their ideas, he was able to take control of the show. He is leading a group of experts on a quest that could change everything. Every step of the way, you believe his hardship, and all the other A-listers fade into the background.
The Revenant
Finally, An Oscar To A Legend
It was necessary to get things out of the way! It was well past time. That prize should’ve been given to him a decade ago. He should’ve had a slew of them by now. His major victory, though, had to be the most significant of them all. Given his legacy, this seems almost impossible. But that did happen. Leo took on the persona of a furious, critically injured guy who had been ravaged by a bear and was still struggling for his life. His survival instinct will stay with you for the rest of your life. When the film was shown, the entire globe bowed to the greatest of the greats. It will make you appreciate life and love Leo even more. Then there were several more.
