Abhishek Bachchan, who recently got praise for her work in the movie Dasvi along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur, revealed that he is extremely shy when it comes to conversing with a stranger. This is why, he always struggles at a hotel or any other eatery, for he feels extremely uncomfortable ordering his food. He revealed in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, that he would rather stay up hungry than order food by calling up a stranger.

With this, he further revealed that it is always Aishwarya Rai, his wife who takes the call and look after him at hotels, for she is the one who calls and orders food.

The actor was quoted talking to the radio Jockey Siddharth Kannan, saying, “I have certain quirks. If I am outdoor and my wife will call me in the evening asking ‘how’s your day’ whatever, normal husband-wife chat. She says ‘have you eaten,’ I say ‘no.’ She says ‘okay what do you want to eat’ and I tell her and then she will…I can’t call room service. Aishwarya has to call (room service), otherwise she knows I won’t eat. I have this issue. I have a problem speaking to a stranger on the phone.”

In the same interview, the actor further revealed that he struggles during his stay at a hotel, while promoting his films, stepping out of his room, without someone guiding him.

He said, “I am very conscious. People laugh at me. We’re sitting in a hotel today, doing our press tour, and if there isn’t somebody to help me walk through the lobby, I won’t come in. I am scared to enter a place alone. I need somebody around me, I would rather have somebody who can guide me. I’m very shy that way,” As quoted by Filmi Beat.
