Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra got us all floored with their stunning performance in the film “Fashion” by Madhur Bhandarkar. The two shared great screen presence and got tumbled with their grand work.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, in 2015, Kangana Ranaut spoke about her friendship with Priyanka Chopra “She’s my friend and knows me better than any journalist. It takes a lot of nurturing, care and effort to maintain a healthy equation in the industry,”. In an interview in 2020, October, the Queen actress also stated, “Priyanka is fabulous. She is somebody who back then also when I was 19 and she was such a big star. I was so starry-eyed because when I was in school, that time I have been watching her films and here I was in my initial years. She was so cool. She didn’t treat me like a kid or a junior. I felt like she is a friend, who shared food with me and asked me questions like ‘how do I look?, is this ok?, how this dress is looking?’ So I didn’t feel like she is my senior and she is such a big star. It was a nice feeling that she has that ability, it’s wonderful.”, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
But when Priyanka Chopra and Nick’s engagement news got popular in 2018, Kangana said to DNA, as quoted by HT, “Achcha? Woh meri bahut achi dost hai, unhone mujhe nahi bataya toh phir main khafa hoon. (Really? She is a close friend of mine and I am upset now that she didn’t tell me about it).”
However, this lovey-dovey friendship took a U-turn, after Priyanka Chopra took a stand and came for support for the farmer’s protest, on this Kangana said, “People like @diljitdosanjh and @priyankachopra will be hailed by the left media for misleading and encouraging farmers protests…”, and also called Chopra, “secular puppy”, as stated in Hindustan Times.
