If cricket is a religion in India, then Sachin Tendulkar is its God. The man has single-handedly achieved all the batting records that could possibly be achieved. In the late 1980’s, a young 16-year-old-boy burst onto the scene in international cricket and put India on the global map. He went on to play the sport for 24 long years to become not just India’s best cricketer but the world’s best batsman. Ajay too began his acting career around the same time, in 1991, with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, for which he even received the Filmfare Award in the ‘Best Debut, Male’ category. Ajay and Sachin went on to excel in their respective fields of acting and cricket. While Sachin went on to break many records in the field of cricket, Ajay broke the image of a stereotypical hero and evoked emotions and intensity with not just his expressions but also his eyes.
Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in both One Day International Cricket and Test Cricket and even in today’s time, is still considered the best batsman in the world. Although Virat Kohli is closely following Sachin and is looking really good to surpass Sachin’s records, at the moment, the ‘Little Master’ stands tall and right up there. And guess what, Sachin is making records even post retirement. The cricketer is the latest luminary to be inducted into the ICC Hall Of Fame. And one of the first people from the Bollywood film industry to wish the Little Master is none other than Ajay Devgn. Congratulating Sachin, Ajay wrote –
We at IWMBuzz also congratulate the ‘Little Master’ on achieving yet another feat.
