Akshay Kumar, sometimes known as Akki, has come a long way from his humble beginnings as a part-time waiter and martial artist to being included among the top 10 highest-paid actors in the world. Once more, Akki performed the job flawlessly. The movie was one of the best earners of its release year, and critics complimented his performance. Even more so, Akshay received a nomination for the same role in the Filmfare best actor category.
Rustom
Akshay portrayed the title character, a decorated naval officer accused of murdering his wife’s lover, in the 2016 blockbuster, which was allegedly based on the now-famous K.M. Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra case. The movie focused on a member of the armed forces who were divided between his personal and professional obligations, and Kumar did a superb job of capturing the essence of a patriotic officer who prioritizes his country above all else in his portrayal of the character. Akshay won the National Award for his performance because of how well he performed in the film.
Mission Mangal
The first space mission by ISRO to Mars was depicted in the film. Airlift
Based on the actual event of Malayali businessman Mathunny Mathew trying to get Indians out of Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion. With young people living overseas who identify as not being Indian, the movie hit the correct notes. Akshay played the role of an NRI businessman trapped in an occupied country seeking to preserve his family as well as his countrymen while confronting his own ideological inconsistencies in the movie, which also starred Nimrat Kaur.
